Andrew is the first of a new generation of mastering engineers…. old enough to have worked with tape on a daily basis, but young enough to have been working with audio software from age 15. He mastered Matt Corby’s 6 x Platinum EP “Into The Flame” of which Producer Tim Carr said: “I chose Andrew Edgson to do the mastering because he possesses the ability to remain very respectful to the source material whilst always offering a refined and professional take on my projects”.

Andrew has also worked on Oliver Tank’s “Slow Motion Music” EP and The Griswolds “Heart Of A Lion” EP which launched the band on to the world with reviews such as Sydney Morning Herald’s perfect harmonizing vocals, classic guitar licks and energetic drum beats.” He’s has also mastered albums from up and coming bands Little Bastard, Bloods, MT WARNING and Michael Cullen, his album ‘True Believer’ which got 4.5 stars in SMH recently.

In addition, Andrew does the mastering for FBI Radio’s Live Feed, live shows for broadcast by Metronomy, Jessie Ware, Deerhoof, J Mascis, Jonti, Amiina, Das Racist, Active Child, Washed Out, Toro Y Moi, M83 and SBTRKT.

 

A keen interest in Jazz and Classical, Andrew recently worked on ARIA winning album ‘Close Your Eyes’ by Sarah McKenzie (ABC Music), as well as mastering recordings from Wanderlust, Lambert Orkis, Pieter Wispelwey, Pacifica Quartet and the Goldner String Quartet.

Coming from a musical background, Andrew has the ability to take your releases to their highest sonic potential while at the same time maintaining the integrity of the music.
