Listen to Leon’s work on Spotify:

Leon Zervos has recently re-joined Studios 301, after spending most of the 90′s and 2000′s in New York City, working for Sterling Sound and Masterdisk. He returns with a CV of mastered albums totalling over 100 million album sales, multiple Grammy Awards, and a client list including Muse, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Beastie Boys, Interpol, Santana, Dream Theater, Robyn, Rihanna, ’N Sync, Pink, Cheap Trick, Wynton Marsalis, Willie Nelson and Plácido Domingo.

Since coming back to Australia, Leon has been mastering records for artists such as Eskimo Joe, Reece Mastin, Duran Duran, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Marvin Priest, Cloud Control and Bertie Blackman.

His welcomed return to 301 is a nostalgic one, as he began his career with us in 1983. By the late 1980s he had established himself as one of the top engineers in Australia, mastering worldwide hits for iconic bands like INXS, Noiseworks and Cold Chisel. In 1993, looking to expand his horizons, Leon made the move to New York City, where he spent the next 16 years earning his name as one of the world’s finest mastering engineers.

Leon’s working method is flexible, fast and effective, mastering in a studio that caters for stereo and surround mastering in a variety of formats, with his strengths lying in an uncanny sensitivity and vision in the songs he masters.
