Sameer works across the Australian club, pop, electronic and EDM scene, producing, mixing and mastering and is an ARIA nominated artist in his own right.
He has mixed & mastered artists including Elizabeth Rose’s debut EP “Crystallise”, all projects by Chris Baio (Vampire Weekend) – including his solo EP for Future Classic and Kim Moyes (The Presets) with his EP via Motorik and subsequent EPs and works really closely with KLP who has just signed to EMI Music.
He has mixed five tracks on The Aston Shuffle sophomore album including all the lead singles – Comfortable, Tear It Down, Back and Forth, Kilter’s debut 6 track EP “The Shades” and is working on the ascending Mansionair’s forthcoming single.
On the mastering front – Havanna Brown ARIA nominated single, Alison Wonderland EP and singles, Jagwar Ma on “Come Save Me”, Art VS Science “I was a Child” and Fishing’s debut album and the album by Thrupence, the latest to be launched by Future Classics who has already hit Hype Machine Top 50.
At Defected Records his stellar client list includes Luke Solomon, Matthew Styles, Yousef, James Kerr, Seven Davis Jnr, Bear Who, Dan Bauemont, Shaun J Wright and Style of Eye. He mixed the recent records by Jenson Interceptor, mastered Mark E’s records for the last four years.
In an age of DIY solutions, the perspective from an objective set of ears has never been more important. As well as a successful background in producing his own music, Sameer has also written for Radio and TV ads within the compliance of broadcast standards.
