JORDAN POWER mixed MT WARNING’s debut album: “Sonically, Midnight Set is stunning” AAA BACKSTAGE.
Since first getting his start in Sydney helping turn the knobs for international acts including Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and U2, Jordan has come to prominence as one of Australia’s budding producer/engineers, with a flair for folk and indie rock.
His most recent work includes engineering Karnivool‘s ARIA award-winning album Asymmetry as well as the Rick Rubin-produced track “Crash and Burn” from the latest self-titled album from Angus and Julia Stone. Jordan has been involved as a producer and engineer on records by Angus Stone (solo), Xavier Rudd and Starboard Cannons. He recently mixed MT WARNING’s new EP Petrified Heart.
He also worked at Byron Bay’s La Casa as Studio Manager/Engineer where he recorded and mixed bands such as The Temper Trap, Ms Mr, Liam Finn, Darwin Deez and many more and mixed acclaimed film director Taylor Steele’s soundtrack for “Missing”.
Working out of 301’s Byron Bay studio, a location which exudes a relaxed, creative vibe, Jordan embraces a production style that is natural and open, always ensuring the recording stays true to the performance, while striving to achieve the vision of the artist. His love for music extends beyond the console as he is widely known across the talented local artist community in Byron.
